If you are predisposed to or have genes that may increase your likelihood of getting lung cancer, stay aware of and keep in contact with your doctor in order to assist with early detection for timely treatment if the need arises.
Proper diet including fruits and vegetables rich in antioxidants and flavonoids help to protect DNA and repair damaged cells. An increased knowledge of the chemicals and agents that you are exposed to at work will assist with lung cancer prevention. Possible carcinogens contribute to the development of several types of cancers. Cancer cell development begins with the cacinogens that interrupt normal cell development and they can be found in places where certain chemicals are contained. So, know the risks factors, avoid them if possible, and pay attention to your eating habits. All will lower your risks for developing lung cancer and other deadly diseases.
